  • Research Assistant

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in designing, conducting, and analysing experiments for research projects in spacecraft systems, aerodynamics, propulsion or control.
    • Support the development, testing, and optimization of prototypes and research systems.
    • Prepare technical reports, research documentation, and presentations for internal reviews and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with team members to achieve project milestones and objectives.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure functionality, safety compliance with relevant standards.
    • Stay updated on relevant technologies and research trends.

     

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, software engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
    • 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a research or R&D environment.
    • Solid knowledge of spacecraft systems, aerodynamics, propulsion, or control. Strong analytical skills and hands‑on experience with engineering tools are preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in English; proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an advantage for collaboration.

  • Postdoctoral Fellow / Associate Research Scientist

    Responsibilities

    • Lead or assist in research projects involving robotic technologies for space. The tasks may include one or several of below items.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists to design, prototype, and validate robotic systems.
    • Conduct experiments, analyse results, and prepare technical documentation.
    • Support simulation, testing, and deployment of robotic systems in simulated and real-world space scenarios.

     

    Requirements

    • Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline is required.
    • Hands-on experience in robotic system design, and/or programming, and/or testing, preferably in space or extreme environment contexts.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, depending on the specific duties.
    • Understanding of control systems, AI, perception, and autonomy in robotics, depending on the specific duties.
    • Excellent research motivation, independent working capability, and strong communication skills.
    • Candidates with relevant work experience will be given priority in consideration.

  • Teleoperation System Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Development of Teleoperation System: Responsible for designing and implementing core functionalities of robotic teleoperation systems, including communication, control, and human-machine interaction modules.
    • Human-Machine Interaction Development: Responsible for developing and optimising intuitive Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) or interactive systems such as VR/AR, designing feedback mechanisms to enhance operational experience; integrating relevant software and hardware.
    • System Testing and Iterative Optimisation: Design and test the teleoperation system through simulation and real-world scenarios; analyse arising issues, optimise system performance to ensure stability and reliability.
    • Responsible for compatibility design for the teleoperation system and coordinate technical collaboration with partners; align technical requirements with collaborators and incorporate into system design.
    • Responsible for compiling design and testing documentation for the teleoperation system, including design proposals, development workflows, and operating manuals.

     

    Requirements

    • Degree (Master’s or above) in Robotics, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines; with robust foundational knowledge in computer science including, but not limited to operating systems/networking/algorithms.
    • Prior experience in simulation, control systems, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) projects is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2) and proficiency in control algorithms (e.g., kinematics, dynamics, servo control) preferred.
    • Professional background in robotic control systems (perception, localisation, planning) preferred.
    • Good team player with communication skills, be responsible and able to work under pressure / in a fast-paced environment.

  • Aerospace Project Management officer

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee comprehensive quality control for aerospace projects, formulate quality management plans, supervise implementation with timely adjustments, promptly identify and resolve quality issues to ensure project quality meets standards and specifications.
    • Responsible for charting project schedules, reviewing plans, controlling processes, managing risks, analysing and evaluating project progress with timely adjustments to ensure manageable progress at all project stages.
    • Assist team members in developing quality and planning awareness, provide training and guidance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure timely delivery.

    Requirements

  • Principal / Deputy Principal Engineer Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Subsystems

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct conceptual design and system performance simulation for spacecraft/robot GNC subsystems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
    • Organise GNC subsystem product development, acceptance, integration, tuning and testing to guarantee timely delivery.
    • Proficiency in the application of navigation products such as visual, inertial, and star sensor systems, or in the design of control computers.
    • Collaborate with the team to resolve technical issues related to spacecraft/robot GNC systems.

     

    Requirements

    • Degree (Master or above) in Navigation Guidance and Control, Automation, or a related discipline.
    • At least three (3) years’ experience in the design, implementation, and integration of GNC systems for spacecraft, robotics, or similar engineering projects.

  • Robot Motion Control Algorithm Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for designing robotic motion control models and algorithms, conducting system simulation and validation.
    • Collaborate with GNC subsystem to perform system tuning and testing, continuously optimise models and algorithms.
    • Proficient in the application of hardware products including visual and inertial navigation equipment, and control computers.
    • Work with the team to resolve technical issues related to the GNC subsystem.
